Utility Services Provided

The City of Ottawa offers the following services:

  • Water – Treatment & distribution

  • Wastewater – Collection & treatment

  • Electricity – Generation & distribution

 

Starting or Canceling Service

 

To Start Service:

In-Person: Visit the front desk at City Hall (1st floor) with the following documents:

  • For buyers: Bring a valid ID.

  • For renters: Bring a valid ID and a current lease agreement.

 

Remotely:

  • Complete the Application for Service (which requires notarization).

  • Email the notarized application, a color copy of valid photo identification for all adults listed on the account, and the lease agreement (if applicable) to finance@ottawaks.gov.

To Cancel Service:

Complete the Customer Request for Disconnect of Utilities form and return it to City Hall or email it to finance@ottawaks.gov. This can also be completed through your online utility account here.​​

 

How to Pay Your Utility Bill

  • Online Payments: The online system accepts credit card payments.

  • ACH Autopay: Sign up for automatic withdrawals on your due date.

  • In-Person Payments: Pay at the Utility Window at City Hall using check, credit card, cash, or via drop box (located in the south parking lot of City Hall, checks only).
