CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN CITIZEN PROPOSALS

We are hoping for your insight, opinion, and ideas for the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) goals for the next five to ten years. While the city annually works on the CIP, this year we are creating the option to provide input electronically.
First, what is a CIP – Capital Improvement Program? It is the vision for major construction, purchases, or systems that affect the City’s ability to serve the citizens.
The form is brief but fill out as much as you are able.As a plan is just a plan, there is no certainty that a project would get funded in a given year. By anticipating projects and sharing with the governing body, projects are completed as funding allows.Having an adopted CIP creates opportunity for seeking funding including grants, creative solutions, and coordination where possible within departments, interlocal cooperation, or with state or federal opportunities.This CIP will be a first step in proposed budget plans for 2023.This is critical as, for example, design could be funded in one budget and construction in the next, or phasing, as appropriate
