SUSPENSION OF UTILITY DISCONNECTIONS

March 17, 2020

In accordance with Executive Order No. 20-05 issued by Kansas Governor Laura Kelly, the City of Ottawa is suspending delinquency-related service disconnections, effective immediately until rescinded.

The suspension of disconnections will be reassessed in accordance with the Executive Order No. 20-05.

If you are currently disconnected, you need to make immediate arrangements with the City of Ottawa Utilities Department to have service reconnected.

It is important to note that charges will continue to accrue on all active accounts and that, while disconnection will not occur under this order until it is rescinded, it is in the customer’s best interest to continue to pay some amount on their delinquent account. This will help to decrease the delinquency due when the order is lifted.

If you have questions concerning the status of your account, please contact Ottawa City Hall at:

1) 785-229-3600

2) finance@ottawaks.gov

The City of Ottawa appreciates your cooperation and attention to this matter.
